Portal Step Plinko belongs to this independent guide. Its twelve-row board uses fair left-or-right choices. If the position is zero after row four, the ball moves vertically to row six at the same position, omitting two random bounces. Otherwise it follows all twelve rows. The remaining direction choices are independent and fair.
The raw score is final displacement squared. Low weighting takes the square root of a positive score, Medium keeps it unchanged and High squares it; zero remains zero. Each weighting is separately normalised using the exact portal-path distribution to 96% expected gross virtual return. The portal changes path probabilities, so unrestricted binomial-board defaults do not describe this model.
A 96% expected gross return describes the probability-weighted virtual credit from a ball, relative to its stake. It does not mean a 96% chance of a positive result, a promise for a session, or that a starting wallet will end with 96% of its balance. The credited return includes the stake component; net change subtracts the stake already spent.
The score transformations change return amounts, not which paths have a positive score. All three weightings keep zero at zero, and each has the same 96% expected gross return after its own normalisation. No mode, past pattern or signal establishes a profit guarantee or commercial game equivalence.
The initial browser wallet contains 1,000 free virtual coins. Balance and fractional-credit carry persist in localStorage; reloading does not replenish them. Refill is available below the minimum stake only when no ball is in progress. It sets balance to 1,000 rather than adding 1,000 and retains fractional-credit carry.
Each drop captures its own stake and weighting. Up to six separately priced balls may be in progress, and each settles using its captured configuration. There is no slot-row stake split. Coins have no cash value, prizes, purchases, transfers or withdrawal facility.
